Fund Raising
Hospital Radio Barnet is staffed entirely by volunteers, who each pay a yearly subscription for the privilege of giving up their spare time for the benefit of the patients.
As a part of the Friends of Barnet Hospital, Hospital Radio Barnet is funded by them, and any money we raise goes to the Friends, however each year we try to raise enough money to cover our operating costs, and maybe even a bit towards some more equipment.

Car Draw Results
Many thanks to all who bought tickets for the small charities car draw. Although the winning ticket was not one of ours, it raised some useful cash. For the results of the draw, click here.
Car Wash Success
Well done to our car wash team, a lot of hard work and some much needed funds raised. Between the raffle and the car wash, over £390 was raised. A big thank you to the organising team, Alice, Fiona B, Natalie and Nick, and to all the others who helped on the day - plus, of course, a thank you to everyone who had their car washed or bought a raffle ticket.
Car Wash
Come to Barnet Hospital's open day on 27th June. Have your car washed for £5. Buy a ticket for a chance to win a 1 night bed & breakfast weekend stay at the London Marriot Hotel, Marble Arch. You can also win a half price round of golf at North Weald Golf Course - (4 persons, 1 round, for the price of 2).
Prizes will be drawn at the car wash at 4:30. Winners will be published here.

30 Years of Broadcasting
June Snowden, the president of the Hospital Broadcasting Association is seen presenting Hospital Radio Barnet with a certificate commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the stations opening in November 1978.
The presentation took place at our recent 30th Anniversary Quiz night held at Barnet Hospital which raised nearly £400 which will go towards the re-equipping and general running costs of the Radio Station.

Balloon Race Results
The winning balloon went over 90 miles, landing in Cawston, 12 miles north west of Norwich, and the winner lives in Cheshunt. Our thanks to all who bought balloons and took part, this event raised nearly £350 for the station.
30th Anniversary Balloon Race
As part of our 30th birthday celebrations, we are holding a balloon race this Saturday, 6th September, from the Spires Shopping Centre in Barnet, at the Bandstand, attended by the deputy Mayor and Mayoress to launch the race, with a prize of £50 to the balloon that goes the furthest. There is also a prize for the person who returns the ticket of the winning balloon.
Come along and have a go. You may win £50.
